FocusPerch helps you plan homework. We collect as little as we can, we never sell your information, and we do not show ads inside the app.
Your assignments, focus sessions and bird are saved in your browser on your device. They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data deletes them, so you can export a backup from Settings.
We store your email address and display name so you can sign in, and a copy of your workspace (assignments, sessions, steps, notes, links, files you choose to attach and your bird's items) so it syncs between your devices. You can sign in with email or with ChatGPT; if you use ChatGPT sign-in, we receive your name and email from it.
If you connect Moodle, Canvas, Schoology or Brightspace, you paste your own calendar export link. FocusPerch uses it to read upcoming due dates and titles, and saves the link in your workspace so it can check for new work. You can disconnect at any time. We never ask for your school password.
If you insert a syllabus (PDF, Word or text file), it is read on your device to find due dates. The file is not uploaded to us. Only the assignments you choose to add are saved, like any assignment you type in.
Purchases are processed by Stripe. FocusPerch never sees or stores your full card number. We keep a record of what you bought so it can be restored on your devices.
We count, anonymously and per day, how many visits reach steps like "opened the app" or "finished a focus session". These counts contain no names, emails, device identifiers, cookies or homework content.
We do not sell or rent personal information, run advertising trackers inside the app, or read your homework to show you ads.
FocusPerch is intended for students 13 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Without an account, use Settings → Clear all data. With an account, go to Settings → Your account → Delete my account. This permanently deletes your synced workspace, uploaded files, bird items, gifts, purchase records held by FocusPerch and your email sign-in. Payment records that the law requires are kept by Stripe.
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
We use temporary, hashed request identifiers and account identifiers to limit abusive requests. These are separate from anonymous usage counts and expire after the rate-limit window. Advertising pixels are not currently enabled. If that changes, this policy and any necessary consent controls will be updated before they run.
We count app actions and broad traffic categories such as Instagram, search or direct visits. We do not store full referring URLs or use these counters to identify visitors. Signed-in owner activity and marked test visits are excluded from new activity reports. Account and verified purchase totals are reported separately.
